World's largest wind farm to date
25 September 2019, Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s jack-up installation vessel Bold Tern successfully finished transport and installation of the 91st Siemens Gamesa SWT-7.0-154 turbine on Hornsea One. Hornsea One is the world’s largest offshore wind farm consisting of a total of 174 turbines.
- 5 February 2019: Bold Tern begins installation
- 25 September 2019: Final turbine (91 out of a total of 174) installed by Bold Tern on Hornsea One
- At 120km from shore, Hornsea One is the furthest from shore an offshore wind farm has ever been built
