Sustainability is tied to everything we do
We are steps ahead *- making it easier for you*
We proactively engage in reporting practices and adopt new regulatory requirements that often go beyond what is required of us. We meet, and often exceed, requirements that keep us steps ahead. This makes it significantly easier for you to work with us on project tenders, as we have already prepared and reported the necessary compliance work.
We help fight climate change
We leave a positive impact on the environment as we help great companies around the world fight climate change. Our experienced crew and the exceptionally strong safety culture onboard our vessels make us trust and respect each other across the many differences – this is what truly sets us apart from our competitors.
Trust us in all aspects of sustainability
We work, think, and care about sustainability in a broader sense - including its environmental, social, and governance aspects.
We care about our customers’ business
We are committed to going beyond what is required of us to ensure that collaborating with us is as efficient and effective for you as possible.
Responsible business conduct
At Fred Olsen Windcarrier, we have responsible business conduct that aligns with OECD standards - not just on human rights, as Norwegian law requires, but also on preserving the environment, safeguarding employee rights, and avoiding corruption and bribes.
Furthermore, we have completed an EU Taxonomy assessment ahead of schedule, and our newest Sustainability Statement draws inspiration from the CSRD/ESRS frameworks, though this is not yet obligatory for us.

Energy optimization
We always strive to optimize our vessels also from a sustainable point of view. Latest two out of three vessels have shore power connections installed to reduce GHG emissions when used in port with low carbon shore power available. All vessels have Variable Frequency Drivers (VFD) installed on large electric motors also to reduce energy consumption.
We believe in data
Data is important to secure our vessels operate with lowest energy consumption as possible. We have installed IAS (Integrated Automation System) on our vessels to be able to follow electrical values for energy consumption and most values for automatic detection of Operational Mode.
Sustainability policy
In Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, we have a strong obligation to the society and to our external and internal stakeholders to operate our business sustainably. Read our policy here.
