As a DP2 self-propelled jack-up vessel, Blue Tern offers great stability and precise positioning during offshore campaigns, even in harsh sea conditions.
Its 800 tonnes Liebherr crane enables safe and efficient lifting of large turbine components like blades and gearboxes, while the spacious, flexible deck layout supports the transport and handling of spare parts and tools. With accommodation for up to 144 persons, its well-equipped for extended campaigns with full technical teams on-board.
Streamlined TP and secondary steel installation
With a 3,750 m² deck area and high uniform deck loading capacity of 8,750 tonnes, Blue Tern is capable of higher intake of transition pieces and secondary steel components. The vessel is capable of transporting and installing up to seven of the largest TPs per trip, subject to detailed engineering.
Power and precision in pin pile installation
Blue Tern’s main crane, with a safe working load of up to 800 tonnes at a 30-meter radius, is perfectly suited for lifting and installing heavy pin piles and
associated equipment like subsea installation frames.
Its four triangular open truss legs and robust jacking system allow it to operate in water depths up to 65 meters, providing a stable and secure platform for precise pile installation, even in demanding offshore environments.
