Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS Enters Cooperation Agreement with Northern Offshore Services

Fred. Olsen Windcarrier AS and Northern Offshore Services (N-O-S) have, on January 17, 2018, signed a co-operation agreement. The agreement means that Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s fleet of CTVs will be integrated into N-O-S’s existing management and organisation.

“N-O-S is a reputable, competent and highly experienced CTV owner and operator with a varied fleet of modern CTVs. Together with the Bayards and the competence and experience of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, the co-operation will further develop the service offered to the clients and allow Fred. Olsen Windcarrier to focus our resources and investments into installation of offshore wind turbines and O&M,” said Even Larsen, CEO of Fred. Olsen Windcarrier.

Rasmus Johansson, CEO of N-O-S: “We are very happy to have signed this agreement with Fred. Olsen Windcarrier and we are very excited to see the implications of it. With this agreement, we follow our strategy to continue our expansion in the offshore wind sector and we truly believe that it will in a very positive way further enhance our offering to our customers.”

“N-O-S and Fred. Olsen Windcarrier have their roots in a long tradition of shipping that has always been driven by innovation. We both believe in being flexible, reliable and professional,” said David Kristensson, owner of Northern Offshore Services. “I believe that our companies’ similar background as family driven businesses has been a help in coming to an agreement. We share the same values. I am glad for this long-term co-operation with Fred, Olsen Windcarrier, a company strongly committed to the offshore wind industry and I am very excited for what the future holds.”

Northern Offshore Services is a market leader of CTVs within the offshore wind industry. With the seven additional vessels from Fred. Olsen Windcarrier, N-O-S CTV fleet will consist of 37 vessels.

The co-operation agreement is effective with immediate effect for the commercial management, and effective for operational management from 1 March 2018.
