Brave Tern has successfully completed loading all of the 5 GE Renewable Energy’s Haliade 150-6MW nacelles and will commence transit to the US east coast and Block Island Wind Farm in the coming days.
“Brave Tern is now ready for her first transatlantic voyage,” said Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s Vessel Master Tony Cato. “We will be sailing via the Azores and Bermuda to take advantage of the favourable winds and ocean currents, before reaching the East coast of the US, and anticipate arriving in two and a half weeks.”
