Crew Transfer Vessel – Round-up


Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s crew transfer vessels (CTVs) have all been fully contracted, and have been particularly busy in UK waters this year.

The CTVs Bayard 1, Bayard 4 and Bayard 7 are employed on an operations and maintenance contract at Walney offshore wind farm, where they will continue working for the duration of their 3 year contract.

Bayard 5 is currently working out of Liverpool on the Gwynt y Môr offshore wind farm, on a 24/7 contract with Siemens. Since October 18th, Bayard 2 has also been working on the wind farm, on a 6 month trial for RWE Innogy.

Bayard 3 and Bayard 6 recently completed planned services on Horns Rev 2 for Dong Energy.

Bayard 3 will join Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s Jack-up vessel Bold Tern, which is installing wind turbines on the Butendiek Windfarm. The CTV is operating out of Havneby Harbor on the island of Rømø on a 24/7 contract for Siemens.

The Bayard 6 is now employed on Baltic ll, operating out of Rødvig in Germany, also on a 24/7 contract for Siemens.

The Windcrew-1 is currently working out of Esbjerg, also on the Butendiek project, for Balast Nedam.
