Borkum Riffgrund II
Fred. Olsen Windcarrier just finished installing 56 V164-8.0MW turbines on Borkum Riffgrund II in the German North Sea on 31 August 2018. The project was completed ahead of schedule. Ehe offshore wind park will supply enough energy for 460.000 German households with a total power output of 450MW.

The scope of work for Fred. Olsen Windcarrier was the transportation and installation of 56 V164-8.0MW turbines – 36 of them to be installed on monopile foundations and 20 on 50m high jackets with 10m high suction buckets.
